Discovering New Traditions: Pregnancy After Loss Support

menorahI’m over at Pregnancy After Loss Support today talking about the mixed emotions that come with holidays when you’re parenting after loss. Here’s a snippet:

“Often times PAL feels like it needs to be an either/or endeavor where either you feel sadness, or if you do feel joy, there’s a side of guilt that comes along with it. But the truth of the matter is that these emotions can, and do, exist alongside one another. ”

You can check out the full post here. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

  1. You’ve put into words what I’ve been experiencing. Especially this year as the Beats are showing a huge interest in the holidays and participating. There’s healing that has come with this, but there are also moments where all of it comes rushing back (kinda like resetting and reliving). Honestly, there are moments where I find myself crying after such joyous moments. Strange to all who know nothing about what we’ve been through and even those who do but haven’t lived it.

Thinking of you this holiday season. Though you have much to celebrate, I know you’re still grieving too.
